As a pilot, who has never dreamed of being at the commands of a supersonic airplane or more simply of a seaplane in the Canadian Great North ?
Many pilots, starting in the aeronautical industry have met these lucky pilots who have made a job out of their passion. If you pay attention when they talk, they are very enthusiasctic and have tons of tales to tell. But how did they get there?
Sometimes the path is short, regular, uneventful, but most often it is a long, chaotic with its load of events. But still, they have all succeeded. What is not told in the story is all those who haven't got the guts, the courage, the tenacity, the will and the passion. Why are there so few pilots out of so many candidates? One thing is sure: you will need hard determination and work to get to the summit.
At the moment, to acquire the experience needed to become an airline pilot or to work as co-pilot in a small twin engine airplaine, you do not have that many options: find a seasonal job on fire patrols, paradrops, towing aerial banners, aerial photography and, last but not least, you may become a FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR!
This option is very interesting for many reasons.
In fact, while teaching to others, one learns about himself, he also refines his flying technique even more and, therefore, he gains in self-confidence. This activity also contributes to "build-up" flight hours all year long while meeting people during cross-country flights and have a chance to make a name for himself. With time passing, you might also have the opportunity to teach flying on multi-engine airplanes which might have a significant impact on your career. For a company, hiring a flight instructor means hiring a pilot who is comfortable in either pilot seat in the cockpit, who is used to practice emergency procedures since he is teaching them and he is a pilot who's kept his competencies up-to-date.
Don't forget that companies require 1,500 flight hours to hire you as an airline transport pilot, so this means it's a long last endeavour.
CPAQ AERO not only offers you the instructor training but also the opportunity to work with us.
